  1. PRD Management Unclassified

  2. PROJECTED ROTATION DATE (PRD) • References: • - MILPERSMAN 1306-104 • - COMFLTFORCOM/COMNAVPERSCOMINST 1300.1 • - NAVADMIN 361/12

  3. PRD INITIAL ESTABLISHMENT • Assigned by NPC Detailer when writing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders • PRD will not normally be changed once established, unless there is a change made to the sea/shore tour length for an entire community • - All PRDs are based upon distribution rates/NECs, except for overseas areas, which are based on DOD requirements, and spouse collocation assignments • PRD is determined without regard to OBLISERV, except for an overseas tour • - Estimated Date of Loss Navy (EDLN) date will override the PRD

  4. FIRST TERM ASSIGNMENT POLICY • MILPERSMAN 1306-126 • “Designated” personnel will generally be assigned: • 24 month tour if CONUS shore duty • Prescribed Sea Tour (PST) if CONUS sea duty • 36 months/accompanied tour length if OCONUS • - PACT sailors will normally be assigned a 24 month tour length regardless of location or type duty. If designated (via rating exam) during initial tour, PRD will be adjusted to the full PST for that rating

  5. COMMAND PRD VERIFICATION • - PRD verification is the responsibility of the both the transferring and receiving command • - A member’s assigned PRD should be reviewed in conjunction with: • Career Development Boards • Command EDVR scrubs • A tour length adjustment (i.e. a change from unaccompanied to accompanied)

  6. PRD ADJUSTMENTS • - PERS-4013 Placement Coordinators will adjust PRDs when: • Adjustment is required to maintain command readiness (usually during PERSMAR cycle) • Discrepancies are identified by the Placement Coordinator during an EDVR review • A member’s separation intentions are verified in Career Waypoints (C-WAY) • - PERS-4 Detailers adjudicate PRD adjustment requests submitted via NAVPERS 1306/7
