Elements Each class will be split into several Elements (groups) of 3 to 4 students. Elements (groups) will be based on Assigned Seats Elements will work together during the immunity and reward challenges to earn points or rewards (careful, when some elements mix they are explosive). Inappropriate behavior or disruptive behavior will result in a loss of points or the elimination of the elements from parts of the competition. If this occurs “elements” will have alternate assignments to complete. Elements will create their own name, think of the Element that you choose and try to come up with a name that has to do with that element. Ex: Aluminum is an element, maybe your group’s name is “The Cans”. (Names must be appropriate!) Let’s get started …Pick your Element (use the periodic table in your Planner to help you decide on an element).
Element Logo Each element (group) will create a logo for their group. Remember, your logo should include the following: Criteria: Names of all Group Members Element that you are representing, and TEAM NAME Pictures and Decorations of things that have to do with your element. CLEAR representations of SOLIDS, LIQUIDS, and GASES (you must include all 3 states of matter) Constraints: Must include an element Must fit on a standard sized paper
Reward Challenges Challenges will relate to a wide range of topics. Teams will earn rewards for their efforts! The team with the highest score will earn the reward and a bonus of 10 points for their team’s score. Reward points, and may come as an advantage later in the challenge.
Survivor Rules Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. The teacher’s decision is final! Play fair! Cheating and dishonest behavior will result in a loss of points or possible elimination from the game. Alliances are ok, but be careful that they don’t hurt you in the long run! Survivor Prize Package The top scoring team from each class will win a class award and be entered into a drawing for a super duper Survivor Prize Package!
