Preparing Visual Aides
Two Types of Visual Aides Content • Avoid large volume of diagrams • Simple figures and tables • Spread into different slides if too much information • Large font • Don’t design for the readers to take time to read the slide Structure one or two words big font, filling up the screen bright contrast, high influence easy-to-understand words

Reading and Listening • At the same time lower your memorizing capability • When the audience are reading the ppt, the capability for absorbing what you are expressing is lowered. • Try to design your ppt as simple as possible without taking time to read
Part IV: Using Visual Aides
Introduce the Topic (mp3.18) Listen to mp3.18 on pp. 146-158 Don’t read/look at the book in the beginning. Try to shadow the audio clip as much as you can.

Practice I • Choose your “introduction” sentence. • Practice with a partner.
2. Highlight Relevant Info. (mp3.19) Listen to mp3.19 on pp. 159-166 Don’t read/look at the book in the beginning. Try to shadow the audio clip as much as you can.
