This panel session will involve a free-flowing discussion that may cover a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: professional identity, leadership outside of a management role, the role of leadership and/or mentorship on one’s career trajectory, reskilling, (re)engagement with the profession, reinvention, barriers and strategies, the question of self-determination within the confines of an organization, and how to push from the middle. The panel will respond to the day’s previous speakers and will rely upon audience participation to connect personal experiences to the substantial challenges and opportunities when ‘leading from the middle’.
