  1. Formula 1 News: Red Bull finishes day 2 testing early

  2. Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel had no option rather than to pull out of the first pre season testing in Jerez after going eight laps. This was due to a Renault energy store problem that could not allow them to continue with the test. The year 2014 has not been that smooth for the reigning World Champions who in the opening day could just manage three laps due to an overnight mistake when preparing their brand new Renault-powered RB10 for its debut that made them quit early in Southern Spain.

  3. Vettel who has been featuring in almost all formula 1 news due to his success has already returned back home in Germany after completing only a total of 11 laps in his two days in the car but his new team mate Daniel Ricciardo is still running for the last two days in Jerez. Vettel’s pulling out of the test means that he will not be in the car again until the second test which is scheduled on February 19 in Bahrrain.

  4. “We have not had a lot of running and we have a few problems to sort out but with such big rules change, it is usual to have some teething problems,” said Vettel.

  5. Lack of Test Running Blamed for Bleak Performance • Speaking on Tuesday, Red Bull chief Technical officer Adrian Newey said that all the effort they put to win the 2013 title left them with a very big gap to fill and that might be the reason why we witness this dismal performance now.

  6. In the meantime, Ferrari Technical Director James Alison is not happy with the significance of the vast array of radical new noses on the 2014 formula 1 cars but he has congratulated the innovative design of the rear of McLaren. He said that the cars are not that similar and that the nose rule allows quite a lot of geometrical freedom.
