Batch Management – J19 • Purpose • This building block contains the configuration and master data required for batch management at the material level, focused on process, production and repetitive manufacturing. Batches are unique for a material. The Core Settings Production – (J06) is assigned as prerequisite for J19. The standard procedure is defined as search and determination procedures for all process from PP, MM and SD, such as: • Basic Configuration for Batch Management • Batch Level • Batch Status Management • Initial Status of a New Batch • Internal Batch Number Assignment • Document Management for Batches • Standard Features (LOBM*) • Not Batch Specific Material Units of Measure • Plant with Batch Status Management
