Watch points disappear after clicks • Type first bullet point here • Enter delivers a second point • Tab to create second level bullet • Bullets are also in groups of 2+ • To return to level 1, place cursor in front of “T” and click Shift+tab • Highlight and delete unneeded text

Adding/animating video files Let’s animate a video file 1. First we insert the video file:Insert > Movies and Sounds > Movie from File (Make sure DISASTER01 video file on your CD is in same subdirectory as this file) 2. Add connector this text box: (Click AutoShapes > Connectors > select a style > position start/end points on text box and video green dots turn to red) 3. Animate text box, connector, and video box entrance. 4. Add video play entrance: (Highlight video box: Add Effect > Movie Actions > Play after previous To view this slide correctly,first copy DISASTER01.AVIfrom your CD-ROM to the same subdirectory in which you placed this file.
To add and animate audio files • First insert the file onto your screen:Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File. (Unless you wish the sound play automatically when the slide appears, click NO. If the “moo” doesn’t play, make sure the COW2.WAV file is in the same subdirectory as this one.To animate a sound file, highlight the icon > Add Effect >Sound Actions, then “play” (If you animate the sound as part of a timing sequence, move the icon off the screen, as itappears at the lower left.) • Or simply play the sound by clicking the icon. • You can also make an image or element (box) play a sound file. Click the element/image, then right click > Action settings > Play sound box, use the pull down menu and click the sound file. Highlight the appropriate tab at the top to make the sound play: “Mouse Click,” “Mouse over, “ or both. • Start the slide show; try it out. Click here toanimate cow.Place cursoron cow.
To emphasize text/graphic elements Once an image or element appears (Entrance), you can modify it. (Highlight the element > Right click Custom Animation Add Effect > Emphasis (pick one.) Start the slide show from this screen.Each click animates the next box. Note: Emphasis animations shouldbe purposeful to call attention toa specific image or text phrase. 1 Change font 2 Change fontcolor 3 Change font size 4 Change fontstyle 5 Grow 6 Spin Each click brings up the next effect (1-2-3-4-5-6)
To create a motion path Moving objects or text is an Emphasis.Turn on the Custom Animation windowto see the motion paths (Slide Show > Custom Animation) Start the slide show. Watch what happens with each of the 5 clicks. (Make sure your green and red arrowsoverlap so your movement is smoothand consistent.) There are 5 clicks on this screen
