Immunizations All of the vaccines are held within the refrigerator seen in the picture. If the temperature in the refrigerator rises or drops by more than 2 degrees local authorities are automatically contacted.

Specialty Care: STD’s/HIV/AIDS In the Health Department
STD’s • Chlamydia • Hepatitis B • Syphilis • Genital Warts • Gonorrhea • Herpes
Chlamydia Spreads by person to person contact, and mother to child during child birth Symptoms include Unnatural discharges from the body, but most people show no symptoms
Hepatitis B • Found in the blood and body fluids. Commonly contracted thru unprotected sex. • Treatment consists about six months of antibiotics, but still the percent of complete recovery is ten to fifteen. • Some symptoms are jaundice, fatigue, abdominal pain, lass of appetite interittent nausea
Syphilis Is spread sexually as well as non-sexually Symptoms: skin sores, called chancres, and severe rash- anywhere on the body Treated with antibiotics
Genital Warts Spread by close physical contact Symptoms: bumps on the pubic areas Can be treated, but not cured
Gonorrhea Spread from person to person by close physical contact. Hard to diagnose without proper testing being done. Can be cured with prescription drugs
Herpes Can be spread sexually as well as non-sexually. Symptoms: sores on mouth and/or genitals. Cannot be cured, but outbreaks can be suppressed by medications
HIV/AIDS The way people become infected with HIV include: sexual intercourse, exposure to infected blood (needles), contact with infected body fluids, and babies born with HIV and breast feeding. One-hundred fifty people test positive each year for HIV.
