  7. 75% of the poor live in rural areas. • Improving agriculture in these countries would have a dramatic impact. Agriculture and Natural Resources

  8. Agricultural projects focus on: • Increasing cash crops • Planting winter crops • Building irrigation systems, small dams, and water tanks • Conservation of Natural resources Agriculture and Natural Resources

  9. Education 774 million adults can not read or write - 64% are women.  Work with governments to make education readily available to everyone. Focus on vulnerable groups: Refugee children Women and children People with HIV/AIDS

  10. Economic Developement Provide financial services to the poor. Initiates community savings-and-loan programs. Provides technical training.

  11. Emergency and Humanitarian Assistance Unit (EHAU) • Helps create plans for emergencies • Ensure they receive supplies when they need them most. Emergency Relief

  13. World Hunger Campaign • Provides feeding programs, education, microcredit loans, sustainable agriculture and other projects to help families lift themselves out of poverty.
