These people are predominantly of middle-eastern descent. • Racial tension is present between these groups and Anglo-Australian communities. • International and local acts of violence including 9/11 and “race rapes” contribute to this. • To combat anti-religious beliefs in Australia, interfaith dialogue has been established to clear misunderstandings between the different cultures.
