What have we accomplished? Cooperated and shared existing information. • Worked together, investing time and $ towards a common goal. Start: Very limited compilation
What have we accomplished? Built CGKB together. • Now contains over 20,000 ages, from more than 2000 references. • We estimate: corresponds to more than 95% of all age data.
What have we accomplished? Established mechanisms for sharing • Web services • WMS services. • Developed data sharing tools.
What have we accomplished? Worked on a plan to maintain CGKB up to date • Defined a mechanism to share in the responsibility of maintaining CGKB • Concept of Regional Editor Appointed regional editor reviews for completeness Age entered and submitted by various users
What have we accomplished? Concept of the Regional Editor • Geochronological expert named by P/T. • Someone who is jointly recognized as a geochronological expert. • Role is to oversee the completeness of the data being submitted to CGKB within an P/T. • Oversee compilations to complete gaps in P/T.
What have we accomplished? Developed the CGKB Submission System • Internet submission system built around the regional editor concept. • Two types of users: general user and regional editor.

What have we accomplished? Proposed Data Sharing Agreements
What have we accomplished? Regional Editor: • Someone who is jointly recognized as a geochronological expert • Role is to oversee the completeness of the data being submitted to CGKB within a Province/Territory. • ESS will provide Regional editor if one is not available.
What have we accomplished? Data: • P/T -ESS agree to capture all geochronological data within their possession • P/T -ESS agree to respect the scientific and methodological framework in place.
What have we accomplished? Data: • ESS agrees to develop and maintain an internet data submission system. • ESS has made available tools to assist in automated delivery of data. • Each party can use the data as they see fit (respecting and citing sources).
