  3. Possessive adjectives (Italian equivalents of my, your, his, her, etc.): --precede the noun: Ecco il mio dormitorio. --are nomally preceded by the definite article: Dov'e` la tua mensa? --agree in gender (M or F) and number (S or P) with the noun possessed (not with the possessor):

  9. Aggettivi possessivi • Troublesome points: • *miei, tuoi, suoi (because of the tripthong--the 3 vowel sequence) • *loro (because it has one form) • *suo (his, her) vs. Suo (your, polite) • Supply the possessive adjective to express ownership indicated in the paretheses:
