1. Mississippi State University seeking Communications Specialist for Bagley College of Engineering Mississippi State University is now hiring for a Communications Specialist, which will be under the supervision of the Publication Manager of the Bagley College of Engineering. This position will assist with design and publishing activities for the College. Activities include providing excellent researching, writing and editing skills on a variety of promotional materials such as press releases, brochure copy, and primarily video production and podcast creation for recruitment, development and general promotion of the College of Engineering.  EssentialDutiesandResponsibilities: The following examples are intended as illustrations only of the various types of duties assigned in positions allocated to this classification. Assist with the coordination of the marketing initiative for the Bagley College of Engineering with MSU administration, university relations and the MSU foundation. Collaborate on projects with the Dean's Office and other departments within the College. Use various communications to promote a philanthropic spirit to alumni and friends of the Bagley College. Increase the visibility of the Bagley College among other universities, prospective students and general audiences through podcasts and videos. Take creative direction from the Publication Manager. Assist with the creation of promotional materials, news articles and press releases pertaining to activities for the College of Engineering. Develop and write materials for a variety of media including educational videos, promotional videos and podcasts sharing the research and brand of the BCoE on the web. Oversee and assist with the planning and scheduling of BCoE videos and podcasts that would cover BCoE events, student stories, engineering research, faculty recognitions and alumni successes. Electronic imaging, editing and design of presentation graphics, videos and images for the college's website. Other duties as assigned.

Mississippi State University seeking Communications Specialist for Bagley College of Engineering MinimumQualifications Bachelor's degree in broadcasting, communications or related field or equivalent education and/or work experience. Experience in video production with proven creative skills in concept development, writing, videography, editing, and coordinating video productions from start to finish. Expertise in concept development, script writing, lighting, and video editing software is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with university officials, faculty, prominent alumni and friends of the College of Engineering, i.e., multiple and varied constituencies.  Preferred Qualifications Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premier and/or Final Cut Pro on a Macintosh Platform. Experience with digital photography. Three years of related writing, editing, filming experience.  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work with multiple projects/assignments concurrently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Excellent writing and editing skills. A good understanding of the production and printing process.  Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Ability to lift 50-100lbs. Position requires some travel.
