  2. What does this animal look like?

  3. Cheetahs are tan with black spots around their body. The spots are 2 to 3 centimeters wide. Their height is 23 to 37 inches tall. Their tails are 33 inches long. This animal weighs 79 to 140 pounds. The body length is 45 to 53 inches.

  4. Where does this animal live?

  5. Cheetahs live in Africa, southwestern Asia and Iran. They can be found in the wild, grasslands, savannahs and mountains.

  6. What does this animal eat?

  7. Cheetahs eat mammals that are under 88 pounds. They eat hares, warthogs, birds, rabbits, chicks, gazelles, zebras, and impalas.

  8. How does this animal protect itself?

  9. Cheetahs protect themselves by being very super fast runners. They can run away from their predators.

  10. What are other interesting facts about this animal?

  11. The adult cheetahs place their cubs in the forest to camouflage them from predators. Cheetahs can run 45 miles per hours.
