  6. Snack Time • SNACK We will have a designated time for SNACK everyday. Please send in ONE, HEALTHY snack. We do have an early lunch(10:48 am), so we will be eating our snack in the afternoon. A little snack will help keep our brains focused and energized for completion of the afternoon classes.

  7. Birthday Treats • Your child’s birthday is SPECIAL but when we celebrate this special day we will have the treat at snack time or at study hall time. Please send in a treat that is easy for your child to share. Please no frozen cakes, no cookie cakes, or pizza. Bring in or drop off the treat in the morning, so there is little disruption to our valuable teaching and learning time.

  8. Conduct Grade • Conduct Grades will be based upon the tiles system. • Each tile is worth 3 points, a total of 9 points per day. When a student loses a tile 3 points are taken away. Example: Monday a student loses 1 tile then the grade is a 6 for that day. Each day students start with 9 points.

  11. Religion • Please keep your child’s bible at home because we have a class set that we will be using. • New student bibles will be ordered.

  12. Homework • Students will receive Simple Solutions English and Simple Solutions Math for daily homework Monday through Thursday. This homework will be checked for understanding and completion. • Math and English SS quizzes will be on Fridays. • We found that the students who are diligent and honest about the home reading achieved success with the program. • It is the student’s responsibility to get their reading logs signed, please help reinforce this routine. This will be worth five points every week.

  13. Homework continued • Along with this homework students may be given small homework assignments that go along with the lessons taught in class that day. • Students should be practicing their Math facts each night. Our goal is to start multiplication/division in the Second Quarter.
