  1. We went out to Sant Pere de Torelló... Escola Ramon Macip – Dolors Granés

  2. ... to see bees’ life.

  3. Pupils from 3rd grade (8-9 years old) went to Can Panosa, a country house sited 1,5 km far from Sant Pere de Torelló village (in the side of Bellmunt mountain).They devote to apiculture (honey), pigs stockbreeding and farming. The farm is surrounded by fields and mountains. .

  4. First of all, we listened to an explanation and watched a video about bees’ world.

  5. Then, we wore beekeeper uniform.

  6. Now we are ready!!!

  7. Apiarist is the person who keeps bees.He showed us how bees live.

  8. Bees’ house is called beehive.

  9. There are 3 kind of bees: drone, queen bee and worker bee.

  10. The beekeepers gave us a small jar of honey as a present.

  11. We enjoyed this excursion very much and we learnt a lot of bees’ life, too.
