  2. 36 Years of Exchange 1979-2015 Agreement signed by Representatives of Manitoba Government, River East/Transcona School Division, Principals of River East Collegiate, John Taylor and Westgate Mennonite Collegiate Signed in Hamburg with representatives of City State of Hamburg and Federal State of Lower Saxony Agreement renewed in 2003 As of 2014 we are only matching with Hamburg, not with Lower Saxony.

Exchange Timeline • January 9, 2015 - All applications due with nonrefundable cheque for $350. • End of February - partners are matched • March - Partnerships are confirmed • May 19, 2015– 7:00 pm Info Meeting at Westgate • August 24, 2015- planned arrival date of German students • September 9-11th - Camp Cedarwood for all Exchanges • End of September Bomber Game • Mid October City Scavenger Hunt and dinner with Exchanges • Mid November - Farewell Party at the Park Theatre • November 13th- likely departure of German Students • January 12th, 2016 - must hand in Health forms and copy of Passports • March 23, 2016 Likely departure date for Canadian students • May, 2016 Canadian Students and German partners invited to Berlin for 4 days • June 15, 2016 Likely return date for Canadian students

  6. Financial Information • $350. Non-refundable cheque paid for Canadian exchange activities (Camp Cedarwood, Hoodie, Bomber Game, Scavenger Hunt/Dinner and Farewell Party • One cheque of $600 and one postdated cheque collected at end of May • Postdated cheque for for $1400 dated Sept. 30, 2015 for remainder of cost of airline ticket. If ticket is more expensive, the remainder will be collected in January of 2016. • Cheques cover the airline ticket and flight insurance, chaperone flight • Aprox. 350 Euros for 4 days and nights in Berlin to be paid in January, 2016 • Students should have money available for personal spending and any extra travel costs (for example visiting friends by train) • All cheques should be made out to MTG - Germany Exchange

  7. Matching • Fill out the application as honestly as possible and we will do our best to find your best match • Please note that we cannot guarantee that your partner will become your best friend. That depends on both of you. • Students will be placed with partners in Hamburg
