Exploring the rolling hills of East Tennessee during the fall is a must. The tree’s leaves provide a rooftop of bright oranges, reds and yellows while the crisp autumn air is sure to clear your mind. Tellico Village has multiple hikes in the area that adhere to every skill level from beginner to advanced. Below is a list of some local hiking trails for your family to enjoy:

  3. Lakeshore Trail – Easy Lakeshore Trail is a 2.1 mile hike that features wildlife and panoramic views of the lake and mountains. This trail hugs the shoreline and is known for being relatively flat and is a highly recommended option for new hikers.

  4. Fort Loudoun State Historic Park Trails – Easy Enjoy a leisurely stroll through woods and meadows on this 3.25 mile loop. Multiple trails are available and can be sectioned off depending on your preference. For example, if you want to add on to the Meadow Loop hike, you can continue onto Lost Shoe Loop to add an additional half mile. Ridgetop Loop entails a little more climb than the others but has an amazing view at the top. Benches and picnic tables are available should you want to enjoy a picnic or enjoy a view of the sunrise.

This group of women come together to explore their surroundings with like-minded individuals who also enjoy nature, outdoors, and comradery. With over 200 ladies, the group hikes average 5-7 miles that occur ten times a year. Depending on your skill level and love for hiking and the outdoors, Tellico Village also has hiking groups such as the Muddy Boots and Tellico Village Hikers.
