  2. Walruses are very large. They normally weigh from 2000 ponds to 4000 pounds. They can live up to 40 years. They can grow to be around 11 feet long.

  3. Eating habits • Walruses like to eat mollusks, clams, fish, worms, gastropods, cephalopods, crustaceans, sea cucumbers, and other soft-bodied animals.

  4. Appearance • Walruses are covered in a fatty substance called blubber. The blubber protects the walrus from the cold water. Walruses have two tusks. They use their tusks for many different things, such as pulling themselves out of the water by stabbing their tusks into the ice. They also use their tusks to fend off their territories. They also have long whiskers to help search for clams when their swimming.
