Our group’s 2012 Project - Results Began by hosting Regional Gathering on School Gardens on May 21, 2012 (WVU Extension partnership) 30 people attended, representing organizations active in school gardens and youth education
Our group’s 2012 Project - Results “Our garden is flourishing and it has created an excitement amongst my students regarding where our food comes from! They have been more willing to try different vegetables at mealtimes, due to this project. While attempting to weed, they are exercising their fine motor skills and learning to distinguish between weeds and actual plants. They are now able to identify the vegetables in our garden by looking at the leaves.” – Ashley Switzer, Piedmont Pre-K
