Must have fabrics in your wardrobe!

When it comes to fabrics, the preference of people depends on the kind of look, sustainability, and quality. With social media playing a vital role in setting new trends, people go for what they see and like at first glance. Fabrics should serve multi-purpose, and they should be made in a way that can be worn on different occasions. Investing in sustainable fabrics is the best way, as you will have to buy new clothes less often and it is also eco-friendly, as the more the garment will last, more the nature can be saved. 1. Must have fabrics in your wardrobe!

  2. Following are the short-listed fabrics that deserve a place in your wardrobe for giving you a perfect look.  • 1) Cotton Fabric- • Cotton is one of the most common fabrics all over the world. It has been part of the fashion industry for ages. It is highly absorbent, breathable, biodegradable, sustainable, and many other properties make a cotton fabric one of a kind and widely used. Cotton is a strong fiber and slightly stretchy, which aids in making it more comfortable. Dresses, Blouses, Shirts, Pants, etc. can be made from cotton fabric.

  3. 2) Ikat Fabric- • Ikat fabric is a prominent part of Indian crafts. Beautifully depicted through designs and the blurriness, it is a versatile fabric, that has been a part of our culture for centuries. The blurriness is the result of the complex process that the weaver has been through to manufacture this fabric. Many designers and high street brands, replicate the look of Ikat. But the real Ikat is recognized by looking up close or just simply turning the fabric over and scrutinizing it. This fabric is used in making shawls, scarves, wall hangings, rugs, shirts, pants, blouses, dresses, eveningwear, sweaters, etc. • 3) Linen Fabric- • Linen Fabric lasts longer and hence is preferable to fashion lovers. This fabric is durable and won’t get easily worn out. Linen is also one of the strongest natural fibers in the world. Linen is comparatively cooler, breathable, and more lustrous than cotton fabric, but it is less stretchable. Linen is a flax-based textile that is predominantly used for homeware applications. Several processes step by step are accomplished to make Linen fabric, which makes it special. Linen fabric is used in making skirts, shirts, suits, dresses, etc.

  4. 4) Organza Fabric- • Organza is a renowned fabric, that holds many important features such as lightweight, sheer, plain woven fabric, transparent, and slightly more durable. It is an optimum choice for brides and also for people who want to mark an impression at important events or occasions. Organza sarees have always been a priority for Indian women, due to their smooth texture and good drapability. Organza fabric is a very versatile fabric, and you can see it being used in many wedding gowns, evening gowns, home decorations, and many other decorative purposes.  • 5) Rayon Fabric- • Rayon fabric was often regarded as ‘artificial silk’ in the past as it resembles good characteristics that are unique. It is made of semi-synthetic fiber. It is a soft and comfortable fabric and gives a luxurious appearance. It has an excellent drape, and is preferable by women to make dresses, tops, lowers, and skirts.  • These fabrics can be used for every occasion and are more reliable. What we wear says a lot about us and hence the selection of fabrics should be done keeping in mind the outcomes that they will bring. Your wardrobe should be systematically stacked with fabrics, that make you feel comfortable and stylish at the same time.
