  3. Page 1 Alfonzo is riding to school in his car. He rode 4 miles on his way to school, he sees a sign that says 14 miles to go. In a percent how far has he gone? He thought would Wally want to try to eat eggs every morning. http://office.microsoft.com

  4. Page 2 When Alfonzo reached school he was going to be late, he knew he might have to negotiate. He needed to tie his blue shoe, and clean off the icky goo. He was wishing he was home hugging his huge hamster named poo, which swims 9 miles in 3 hours in a cool pool. How many miles can he swim per 1 hour?   5. Page 3 Alfonzo made it to school, because he isn’t a fool, a fraction of a second before the bell rang. He stopped and sang. His science teacher, Mr. Michael, was giving a lesson on recessive traits, which, by the way, he hates. There were six mugs of coffee on Mr. Michael's desk. The first mug had 0.5 ounces of coffee in it. The second had ½ ounce of coffee. The third mug had ¼ ounce. The fourth mug had 0.8 ounces. The fifth mug had 2/5 of a ounce of coffee inside. The sixth and final mug had 9/10 ounces inside. Using the order of operations, how many ounces of coffee were on Mr. Michael’s desk?

  6. Page 4 • Alfonzo’s class went on a field trip to the dump. As he was walking he tripped on a stump. Because of his weight, he fell with a thump. He hit his head and developed a bump. He looked at the pile of junk and saw Forest Gump. He punched his friend in the gut. His friend got a small cut. Forest Gump's feet were on top of a fridge that was 3½ meters tall. The bottom of the fridge was 11 yards below sea level. Compared to sea level, how high were Forest Gump’s feet?

  7. Page 5 In history, his teacher Mr. Jackson, who has the dominant trait for changing his skin color, was discussing the possible outcomes of Andrew Jackson’s battles. If Andrew Jackson is 243 years old and this story was made in 2010 what year was he born (x).

  8. Page 6 • After school Alfonzo went home and ate 3 pop tarts, 3 waffles, and a loaf of bread. He was feeling extra fluffy that night so he went to bed early and never thought about math again.
