  2. Where a Tiger Lives • Asia • Lives Iin natural swampy areas and hot jungles • They are good swimmers • Some live on snowy mountains • Always live near water

  3. What a Tiger Eats • They eat meat like wild pigs • They also eat birds, cows, monkeys, lizards, crocodiles, and small elephants • They are carnivores

  4. A Tiger’sEarly Stages of Life • They start as a cub • Female tigers mate between ages three and four

  5. Why Tigers Are Endangered • There are only 6,500 tigers left • People kill them and destroy their habitat
