  3. Joshua is not saying, make sure you do not serve idols in the future but to put away the idols you are secretly worshipping now. Not a potential or possible sin. It is a now sin.

  4. Serving the Lord is a Choice

  5. Deuteronomy 30:19. “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So CHOOSE life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.” I Kings 18:21. “Elijah came near to all the people and said, ‘How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God then follow Him; but if Baal follow him’ But the people did not answer him a word.” John 19:15. “So they cried out, ‘Away with Him, crucify Him!’ Pilate said to them, ‘shall I crucify your King?’ The chief priests answered, ‘We have no king but Caesar.”

  7. Things you seldom hear from a waiter • “No” • “Get it yourself” • “Stop bothering me” • “Sir, your awfully fat to be having the lemon butter sauce on that”

Serving the Lord in your Life Restaurant • Don’t ignore Him • If He asks you questions concerning your menu then be honest. • Clean up that spilled glob of crud another waiter dropped near His table that all the other waiters keep walking by it as if it were not there. • Get Him what He wants before He has to ask for it. • Since He is a repeat customer be aware of His likes and dislikes. • Know when to speak and when to listen
