History 1856 – The Lovere plant is officially established 1908 – The first railway wheel is produced 1930 – The company is taken over by ILVA 1987 – The Lovere Plant evolves into a separate company under the name of Lovere Sidermeccanica 1990 – Lovere Sidermeccanica is acquired by Lucchini Group 2000 – Lucchini UK and Lucchini Sweden are acquired from AD Tranz 2002 – Lucchini Poland is established 2005 – Severstal Group joins the Lucchini Group as the majority shareholder 2007 – Lucchini Family buys back complete control of the Company 2007 – The new rolling mill investment is launched and the JV in China is established 2008 – The company changes name into “Lucchini RS” 2010 – The Joint Venture Lucchini India is established
