Securing a PresentationPages 17-19 in manual • Who Will I Speak to? • Now that you are ready to talk about domestic and dating violence, you need a group to talk to! • Make a list of possible groups in your community and contact them (via phone, letter, email). • Review the sample phone script and letter provided in the manual. • Feel free to modify them or use your own, whatever you are most comfortable with.
Giving the Presentation Don’t forget to include: • What is Break the Cycle? • Why is domestic and dating violence relevant to the community? • Why are you speaking to this particular group? • How can the group support Break the Cycle’s mission? Follow the Talking Points Feel free to change to fit your style and audience.
Report Back • You have completed your presentation! • Now tell Break the Cycle about it! Here is what to do: • Findthe form on the last page of the manual. • Fill in as much information as you can and send it to Break the Cycle. • If anyone returns the bottom third of the Front-to-Back Handout to you, send with any donations to Break the Cycle.
