Finding fractions of amounts • By the end of this lesson, you should be able to: • Calculate a fraction of an amount • e.g. two-thirds of fifteen: 2/3 x 15 • Find a fraction of a fraction for halves, quarters and eighths • e.g. a quarter of a half (1/4 x 1/2) • or three eighths of a quarter (3/8 x 1/4)
