Workers • Some of the hands on farming workers go to take care and planting the plants around the roundabouts. • So that we would have nice streets .
Examining artichokes The hands on farming import the artichokes from Italy. They said that the Italian artichokes grow up more quickly than ours in Malta. They need lots of sun.
Fruit tree nursery. • They plant tree plants too. • They told us that it is important that if they are going to sell them, to the people they have to pull off the trees when they are ‘sleeping’.
Animals • They have lots of animals like sheep, hens, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, pigeons, birds and lots more.
Trees • Some of our trees are going to get rid forever. • There are the laws that tell us that some of the trees are protected. • Our national tree is the Gharghar. • Our national plant is Widnet il-Bahar.
Glass houses • This farm has five glass houses were they plant the vegetables that grows up in summer.
Problemswhite flies • The white fly likes the hot weather. • They eat every thing that they find. • They are like normal flies but smaller. • It bring viruses with it.
Another problem • This year there is another illness. • This illness is the Tuta Absuluta. • This bacteria goes in the tomato and eats from inside the tomato.
Lady birds and bees • LADYBIRDS • Some of the farmers buy the ladybirds to eat the whitefly. • BEES • Because of bees the flowers will become a fruit.
