Fernando’s Favourite • A train has a speed of 20 km/h. Raindrops falling against its side windows make traces inclined at 30 to the vertical. We ignore air turbulence and there is no wind. • A) What is the horizontal component of a raindrop’s velocity with respect to the Earth? More on Rain • A car travels due east with a speed of 60.0 km/h relative to the ground. Raindrops are falling at a constant speed vertically relative to Earth. The traces of the rain on the side windows of the car make an angle of 70.08° with the vertical. Calculate the velocity of the rain relative to: • the car and • Earth.

When it is working and you stand on the moving sidewalk the entire way, without walking, it takes 75 s to travel the same distance. How long will it take you to travel from the gate to baggage claim if you walk while riding on the moving sidewalk?
