  2. We arrived there tired and relieved at the thought that our hotel was just 20 seconds away……..

  3. However, the maps at the station were not laid out properly and it turned out our hotel was in a hidden street. Unfortunately it took us half an hour to find our hotel. Ah well • The hotel was really nice though. Modern and with a small kitchen if we wanted to cook. We were only in Marseille for one night though so we ate out. (kind of regret staying there for such a short time)

  4. First thing we noticed was how dirty Marseille was….I mean how could you trash such a beautiful city??

  5. Enjoying the Vieux Port

  6. Abbaye St. Victor • We visited the oldest church in the city right by the Vieux Port. It was built in the 5th century. We went there in the hopes of also seeing the catacombs and the crypts. However, they were doing some construction work and it was closed, but at least we got to see the church’s interior. It was so beautiful. The structure was just amazing!!

  7. Boat Trip to the Islands • We took a boat to the islands just 20 minutes from Marseille. We strolled around and then ate fish soup.
