  3. Completing the Social Health and Counselling Program graduates you as a skilled, employable counsellor with a developed specialisation.

  4. COUNSELLING TRAINING WITH SPECIALISATION IN • Drugs And Alcohol Counselling • Child and Family Counselling and Child Protection

  5. SOCIAL HEALTH and COUNSELLING PROGRAM • PG CERTIFICATE • 4 units (total 16 credit points) • One year (2 units per semester = 10 days) Basic theory/skills development to get started in AOD or Child Protection or general counselling work

  6. SOCIAL HEALTH and COUNSELLING PROGRAM • PG DIPLOMA • 8 units (total 32 credit points) • One year (Per semester 4 units = 20 days) • Two years (Per semester 2 units = 10 days) • Can articulate from PG Certificate (50% credit) Further theory/skills development to work in AOD or Child Protection or general counselling

SOCIAL HEALTH and COUNSELLING PROGRAM • MASTER • 14 units (total 64 credit points) • Two years (Per semester 4 units = 20 days) • Four years (Per semester 2 units – 10 days) • Can articulate from PG Diploma (50% credit) Advanced theory/skills development to work in AOD or Child Protection or general counselling plus applied research project

  10. MASTERS UNITS PG CERTIFICATE UNITS PLUS PG DIPLOMA UNITS PLUS • Trauma • Group Therapy • Narrative in Community • Invitations to Responsibility • Applied Research Project

  13. SELECTION CRITERIA • Personal suitability (interview) and previous relevant experience considered. • Priority given to applicants who are either working or volunteering in the field, or who are actively looking for work/experience

  14. FEES (2012) PG Certificate $2720 PG Diploma $5440 CSP (HECS) and HELP or 20% discount paid upfront
