The Stations • There are three stations at the River Rouge: • Chemical Station • Physical Station • Macro Invertebrate Station
Chemical Station • What we did in the chemical station is we tested things like how clean the water is, and how certain chemicals react to it like phosphate. We had to wear protection like glasses and gloves as well.
Physical Station • In the physical station, we tested things like how deep the water is in the area we were in. We also did stuff like see how warm or cold the water was along with how fast the flow is by putting a orange in the water and see how fast it goes in one meter.
Macro Invertebrate Station • In the macro invertebrate station, we tried to catch wildlife like clams, crayfish, crawfish, water spiders, turtles, and animals that live in that kind of environment. This determines if there is good wildlife that can only live in well taken care of environments or if it has things that can survive in dirty water.
