How it works • Geothermal wells use steam to make electricity. The steam spins turbines. The turbines start to spin magnets in coils of copper wire to create electricity and the plants are really close to the wells.
3 advantages3 advantages It is cheaper than constructing oil, gas, coal or making a nuclear power plant. It does not pollute anything. It also does not take up a lot of room.
3 disadvantages • It is very hard to find a good building spot, some gases can be released, sometimes a site may stop producing heat for a long time.
