  3. Goals • Learn to create a surfboard • Develop my artistic skills • Understand the different styles of boards and how they work • Make an art piece out of a surfboard

  4. Process • Researching the evolution of the surfboard shape • Finding a mentor to build my board with • Creating my collages • Photographing of the collages • Printing collages on rice paper • Creating board

  5. Final Product A completed functional surfboard with my collages on it. A successful way of showing my board and art. I was extremely happy the way it all turned out

  6. Skills acquired • How to build a surfboard • How to not to collage badly • How to combine the two • Further knowledge of the sport I love

  7. Challenges • Finding someone to build my board with • Finding images • Time • Weather

  8. Future plans • Make my own boards • Fix my boards when I break them • I have made good connections for printing and help with creating the board. • I don’t know if I will be doing collages anytime soon
