  3. What Will it Take to Weave Community? It will take people. It will take nurturing people . . . . Who plow and tend plants, feed birds and harbor wild life, pick up soil from the earth and run it through their fingers and love what is green, fresh and growing.

  4. It will take healing people . . . Whose hands touch and rub others into life and well-being.

  5. It will take prophetic people . . . . Who dare to dream dreams and silence us even if we cannot hear their words or dream their dreams.

  6. It will take poetic people . . . . Who call us beyond where we are pointing to the largeness and lastingness of life.

  7. It will take fun-loving people . . . . Who unburden, lift up, lighten and laugh others into fruitfulness and donate courage for the long haul.

  8. It will take soul people . . . . Whose eyes are clear and open, inviting trust, confidence and the kind of bonding that weaves and draws us together.

  9. It will take just people . . . . Who cry out against oppressors of people the destroyers of the earth.

  10. We will need God’s people . . . . Who don’t know themselves as special but who are the “salt of the earth,” feeding and clothing and housing the human family from one end of the day to the next.

  11. It will take each of us . . . . Providence People committed to justice, peace, love and service.

  12. Provident God, We are prophets of a future not our own. So make us Prophets, Nurturers, Healers, Poets, Whole Persons, Soul Persons and Justice Bringers, who know we can do all things in You who strengthens us. Amen
