Only Mexico, Italy, France and Germany have hosted the World Cup twice before.

2014 Mascot • Fuleco the Armadillo is the official mascot of the FIFA World Cup 2014. • Fuleco comes from the Portuguese words “Futebol” (football) and “Ecologia” (ecology) and it represents the way in which the FIFA World Cup can combine the two to encourage people to behave in an environmentally friendly way.
