Objectives of the project • To provide relevant and timely information and news from all the state in the country. • To act as an “Information Gateway of India”. • To become a financially self sustainable web-venture within 3-6 months through local banner advertisements and online affiliate advertising networks.

  3. Proposed solution to achieve the objectives • A website with a dynamic backend • A design-centric approach with emphasis on uniformity and the relevant colour scheme. • Original and relevant content (To be provided by the client in this case).

The salient features of the website • Creating categories, sub-categories and adding new article pages and press releases via a user-friendly Content Management System • CMS Support for updating content in all Indian Languages. • Creating Photo and Video galleries using CMS. • Ability to add Search Engine Optimization (SEO) friendly meta-tags, titles and keywords. • Uploading documents in PDF Formats • Social bookmarking, Bread Crumbs, Sharing, Printer friendly pages, Sitemap, etc. • Ability to add admin, sub-admin and assign different rights to them • Database Search option with various parameters. Database records can be added, modified or deleted from Admin interface.

  7. Time Estimate • The total expected time to compete the project and its testing will be 45 working days from the date of the commissioning of the project. • Debugging will require another 20 days after the website gets launched.

  8. Cost Estimate • The cost of developing the portal will be INR 25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only). • There will be no extra charges for rectifying any design or coding errors or anything that comes up in the testing stage. • Since the State Information Centers will be able to independently update the content on the website through their login ids, hence no extra investment in manpower will be needed. • All support and monitoring for the website will be provided. Further costs will be incurred only when further bandwidth or space is required to be purchased. • However there may be an annual maintenance expenditure of a maximum of INR 5,000 (Five Thousand Only) for minor design or feature related changes.
