Who is Mattia Vezzola ? • Awarded Slow Food / Gambero Rosso’s Oenologist of the Year in 2008. • Has been working in Bellavista since 1981.
Cuvée Brut n.v.. • It derives from the combination of at least 30 selections from several plots. • The addition of aged wines gives consistency and structure. • 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco.
Gran Cuvée Satén Brut n.v. • This Franciacorta Gran Cuvée is produced in limited quantities using small barrel technology: small barrels are the only kind able to enhance and interpret the elegant femininity of Chardonnays. • 100% Chardonnay from one vintage only, from the most favorably located vineyards in the Erbusco district.
Gran Cuvée Brut • This vintage Franciacorta Grand Cuvée stands out from traditional Bruts due to the quality of the Raw Materials. • More than a quarter of the wines are aged for 7 months in small oak barrels. • Pinot Nero (70%) and Chardonnay (30%).
Gran Cuvée Rosé Brut • This vintage Franciacorta Grand Cuvée owes its delicate, constant colour to the submerged-cap maceration of the skins • It is produced in a limited quantity, combining at least ten selections, some of which are fermented in barrels. • Pinot Nero (50%) and Chardonnay (50%).
Gran Cuvée Pas Operé • This vintage Franciacorta Gran Cuvée, which is classic and masculine, comes from selections from upper slope vineyards, facing S and SE with an average age of 20 years. It is then aged for five years in the cellar. • It comes from Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Nero (40%).
Bellavista Riserva Vittorio Moretti • It stems from our desire to express the full worth of nature and of the finest crus of in a cuvée composed in almost equal measure of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero. • This cuvée is the utmost proof of the perfectionist spirit that inspires Bellavista. It is usually released 7 years after the vintage.
Curtefranca Convento SS Annunciata • On mount Orfano among vineyards, the surviving age-old olive trees and small oak copses, the Convento dell'Annunciato has been a spiritual place since 1449. The friars at the monastery have always produced excellent wine. • Bellavista has been chosen to continue that ancient tradition in this unique vineyard.
Curtefranca Uccellanda • This cru is produced only using selected 100% Chardonnay grapes. It ferments and is then aged for 12 months in 228-litre barrels. • It ends its evolution in stainless steel containers, and is aged for another 6 months in the bottle.
Curtefranca Bianco • This Terre di Franciacorta DOC comes from south- facing vineyards on middle and upper slopes, with a dense planting-pattern. The only grapes used are Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco.
Brandy • This distilled wine is the result of a skilful blend of distilled wines from various selections from the Franciacorta area. • It has an elegant, distinctive bouquet that comes from many years of patient ageing in small oak barrels (Limousine). • 100% Chardonnay
