The Process The class will have a dashboard similar to social media
For the Teacher • Webinars for both teachers and admin • Login cards to print and parent letter generated • Feedback: a lot of data on each student’s progress • Can be used for RTI data • Detailed emails updates on student progress • Modify content: • standards, assignments, percentage correct
For the Teacher • Online homework feature • Group students by what level assignments they are working on and due date (rest don’t see) • Math and ELA/Reading Assessments to measure progress • Add Co-teacher and parent accounts • Send messages to student • reading logs, tasks, projects, dashboard comments
For the Student Can sign in at home or at school on any device Move through material at own pace Pick their mood for the day Post messages to the dashboard Select Avatar Send encouragements/messages to peers.
For Student • Earn badges to show off how many coins they have earned. • All questions are multiple choice • Reads the questions aloud • Great for LD or ELL
For the Student Rewards: earn coins by doing practices (parents too)
Cons of Scootpad Read aloud feature is only available for K and 1st Everything must be spelled correctly before being entered Students that don’t want everyone to see their writing don’t have a way to communicate privately with the teacher.
