Creating a zoo animal • Objectives: • Students will be able to: • create a zoo animal using information from the story At the Zoo and classroom materials. • copy zoo animal name from list created in class onto their papers. Procedure: -After reading the story, The Great Zoo Escape, by Colin McNaughton, the class and I will create a list of zoo animals. • Students will use the list created to create their favorite zoo animal on a paper plate. • Students will use different craft materials to do this project. • After students create their zoo animal, they will write their name, and the name of that zoo animal onto their papers. • Teacher will attach papers to the plates. • Teacher will display zoo animals for students to see.
