  37. What Will Change? • Web Based Means… • Enter Data Directly • Create a File for uploading • Data will automatically be “in synch” • You may need to support a web server

Can We Host it Ourselves? • Web Server – Win2k or 2003 (Linux is also possible) • Coldfusion 7 license (A Java Based App Server) • Database Server – • MS SQL (Possibly other options) • MSDE or SQL Express (limits connections and size, but works well) • File Storage to Support Your Images and Maps • Security – firewall, backups redundancy, etc. If you have a self-hosted web site or sites you may already be in a position to host it yourself at minimal cost • Expertise in SQL and Web Servers is required.
