This pilot program aims to identify and propose WASH interventions to eliminate or control trachoma, schistosomiasis, and soil-transmitted helminths in Burkina Faso. The project includes collaboration with government stakeholders, behavior change activities, and training for specific groups. Initial results show communities engaged and local officials committed to advancing WASH efforts.

Initial Results (2) • USAID CAs and other NGO partners seeking ways to support WASHplus initial efforts. • USAID/Burkina interested in project and will use ideas to develop new REGIS activity • FHI 360 developing a case study to share with NNN WASH working group at the September 2016 meeting
Future Needs • Limited support to continue follow-up activities for an additional 6-12 months • Funding for an endline activity to provide more rigorous results (WASHPaLS?) • USAID participation in NNN WASH-NTD working group • Assistance to USAID/Burkina to include WASH in new RFA
