Check of new DC calib performance • A new DC calibration procedure by P. De Simone and E. De Lucia has been set up, in order to act on events independently on the incoming cosmic-ray time, measured by EmC • A first effect was observed looking at the hardware efficiency for innermost 12 layers (small cells): the efficiency drop observed wrt 2002 data disappears • Use KS p+p- sample to check tracking • Compare old reconstruction wrt what is obtained using new s-t rel. • s-t from run 30875 (26 August) • using runs 30874+30882 for a total of about 200 nb-1

Check of new DC calib performance • Checking probability to split a track • Every track assigned to 3 categories: golden, kink, other (rejected) OLD CALIB NEW CALIB • In general, fraction of rejected events tends increase for p+ more than for p-. • Difficult to say with the present statistical uncertainty if assigments became more equalized
Check of new DC calib performance • No big changes appear when s-t rel. from new DC calib are used • Ready to insert it in the official reconstruction, thus allowing tests to be done on larger statistics and also using Bhabha events
