American tree usually stands near the window for everybody to see it from the street. Most families will have a tree which is decorated with lights, tinsel, cookies and lots of colorful ornaments – many of them handmade over the years

Santa Clause American children believe in Santa Clause. On Christmas Eve he flies in a magic sleigh pulled by 9 reindeer to deliver toys to all the children. He puts them under the Christmas tree and in their stockings. He comes in and leaves through the chimney .
