  5. When buying a product you should consider the following: • Price • Quality • Features

  6. Price • How much does the product cost? • Can I afford it?

  7. Quality • Will the product last? • Is it made by a respected company? • Is it made from durable material?

  8. Features • Does it do/have everything I want in the product? • Does it have any bonus features? • Will it be able to do all that I want it to do?

  9. Advertisements An advertisement is a printed notice or commercial that calls attention to a product and tries to influence you to buy it.

  10. Advertising Techniques Advertisers use particular persuasive tactics in order to get you to buy a product.

  11. Bandwagon Everyone is using it you should too!

  12. Beautiful People You will be like the celebrity/athlete if you use it!

  13. Good Times You will have fun if you use it!

  14. Status You will be cool if you have this brand/designer item.

  15. Free Rewards Get this and get something free too!

  16. Expert Opinion An expert explains why you should purchase the product being advertised.

  17. Do not be fooled!!!!! Use your best judgment when purchasing products. Remember to consider: price, quality, and features.
