  3. FALLING THROGH THE ATMOSPHERE The main idea of “FALLING THROUGH THE ATMOSPHERE” is going higher and higher in the ATMOSPHERE. In 1960 scientist wanted to learn if a person could survive the atmosphere (pg. 5). Kittinger kept rising and he was at 2miles up when he saw some clouds. (pg. 8). Kittenger kept rising at 4 miles up and it was below freezing at 4 miles up. (pg. 9) Kittinger started out breathing and at the end of the day he was at 20 miles up.( pg. 6)

  4. FALLING THOUGH THE ATMOSPERE • At 11miles up it is blow freezing( pg.12) • Airplane windows are not made to open because there is so little air and it is so cold up in the atmosphere ( pg.11). • At 20 miles high the balloon could not go any higher (pg. 13).

  5. FALLING THROUGH THE ATMOSPHERE • Atmosphere - the air that surrounds the Earth. (pg. 3) • Freeze - to turn from a liquid into a solid.(pg. 9). • Droplet – a tiny amount of water, smaller than a raindrop. • ( pg. 8)

  7. TORNADO • The main idea of TORNADO is to investigate tornados. Burse works with weather in Jackson Mississippi.( pg. 4).A big part of burses job is predicting what will happen ( pg. 6 ). To make a prodicsonyou have to know what is going happen.( pg.8). Burus also ckekes important weather maps every day. Weather station's send measurement’s from all over the world. To a big weather office in Mary land. ( pg.10)

  8. TORNADO • The maps that burse looked at din’ tell her what was going to happen in Mississippi. • Most weather happen in the Earth. • The internet helpt burse find out were the storms.

  9. TORNADO Weather-what is happing with the heat and the lower atmosphere.(pg.4) Prediction- to make guess about what will happen. (pg. 6) Meteorologist – a scientist who studies weather. (page. 3)
