Inserting a Power Point Show in Front Page By Hyrma Zakahi Pierre TTL July 2002
First Steps • Open the PowerPoint that you want to insert. • Put in transitions between slides. • Don't put a transition on the last slide.
Creating an action button at the end of the slide show • On the last slide, you should insert an action button. • You do this by • going to "slide show" • selecting "action button" Draw it like you draw anything -- click and drag the cursor to the size and shape you want it.
Adding the URL • After you draw the action button, the dialog box at the right will appear. • Change the Hyperlink to URL and type in your Home Page address. (or the page that you want to direct them to at the end of the show)
Saving your PowerPoint • Click on “File” and select “Save As” it will bring up this dialog box: Change the save as type setting to “Power Point Show”
Return or Open FrontPage • go to File and Import • Click on “Add File” • Find the PowerPoint saved as a pps and import by clicking OK
Create the link for power point show • Attach the PowerPoint file to the page you want by dragging it from the Folder List to the page that you want. Or hyperlink to it from a picture, text, or icon.
