17. Możliwości wsparcia dla młodych naukowców • Krajowy Punkt Kontaktowy oferuje różne możliwości wspierania uczestnictwa w projektach badawczych 7. Poszukiwanie partnerów do projektów Tytuł projektu: The Development of an Advanced Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) System for Heavy Vehicles Cele projektu: The “SafeDrive” project aims to overcome the disadvantages of rigid axle suspensions by developing an independent trailing arm suspension with an innovative, novel, low energy need, system allowing both active and passive constant camber to ground in roll, as well as active stability control. This IRS will be designed for a standard rear axle, driven, twin wheel (12.00 R20) tyre arrangement that can take a load at ground of 11 tonnes. The system will also monitor, prevent and correct driver attempts to exceed safe stability limits. The overall system will allow for a greater safety (increased stability/increased tyre/road friction/human error compensation) of buses and trucks, while lowering the noise and vibration passed on to the frame.
