Subtask 1.1.1 Sea Surface Temperature • Include AVHHR NOAA-18 data in SST data stream • As a backup to AVHRR processing of MODIS day/night SST is now possible from NASA 4km quality controlled global data set in near realtime (2-3 days delay) http://gos.ifa.rm.cnr.it

Subtask 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 --Training • Training course at CNR.ISAC Oct 17-19, 2006 • HEIS (Branko Vucijak) participated • Training focused on fundamentals of OC and SST remote sensing (Robinson textbook) • Ocean remote sensing techniques • Satellite data retrieval from various sources • Hands on computer class with practice on SeaDAS, IDL, ENVI and HDFLook. http://gos.ifa.rm.cnr.it
Subtask 1.1.3 Satellite data for Meteorological Sensitivity Studies • Production of AREG resolution satellite data for a period including specific meteorological event (NE wind in February 2003). • Using as input: • 1.
