American Dropout. The internet is an ugly place, where naive idealists are preyed upon and taunted until they are turned into raging, red-eyed beasts, pounding obscenities with the caps lock key on. The weak are trampled, sympathy is a dirty word and the only strength is in apathy and numbers.

The internet is an ugly place, where naive idealists are preyed upon and taunted until they are turned into raging, red-eyed beasts, pounding obscenities with the caps lock key on. The weak are trampled, sympathy is a dirty word and the only strength is in apathy and numbers. • The honest are trolls, and the trolls inevitably turn out to be honest. • You know I love it. • In my years spent wandering this wasteland, I’ve developed a keen sense for the troll. To kill the troll, you must think like the troll… and it helps if you’re prepared to be that troll at any given time, depending which way the wind is blowing. I have certainly spent my time in the trenches, beneath the bridges. • My sword is red with the blood from trolls in forums that are long since dissolved, and of course I’ve disregarded many a fake blog while countless noobs raged. • The youtube troll is, perhaps, the most dangerous troll of all. They grow quickly in size, and yes, they are easy to spot for a trained watchman, but bringing them down can be quite a task.
The giant youtube troll is so feared, and its scalp so coveted by the hunting parties… many mere mortals can no longer tell the difference between giant troll and a legitimate giant. • They will try to kill anyone who gets too big. • Which brings me, at last, to the video linked above. Some kid named Jonah Mowry, who I’d never heard of until half an hour ago. • He posted that video, it went viral, and the hunt was on. Real or fake? • The controversy began to turn for the troll hunters when some video popped up showing Jonah being happy (god forbid), and being quoted as saying something like “to those who think everyone hates me, everybody at my school loves me…” • Now, there seems to be a campaign around the internetand specifically targeting the video’s comments section to bring the giant troll down. • CEASE FIRE.
I watched the video once and I knew it was real. No eighth grader can fake a video like that so convincingly. It’s real. “But what about the…” No, shut the fuck up and think about it for a second, and trust me. It’s real. • The quote and supposed debunking video came much later. After the kid went to school, things got better, his video had a direct and positive impact on his life and he made more friends. It’s really that simple and it makes complete sense. • Look. I’m chaotic neutral, I don’t care who people attack, and I don’t care about the outpouring of sympathy. But believe me, the video is real, the kid is not a troll, and I encourage him to crush the pathetic trolls at his feet. • Well done, Jonah.
Rick Perry’s Hail Mary. • I like how when he mentions gays serving in the military, he awkwardly pulls his hand out of his pocket and uses the same gesture he uses when a homeless guy is getting a little too close. • Just for the record… kids are free to celebrate Christmas… and pray in school. Neither of those are illegal. And the separation of church and state started with our forefathers, not Obama. • But, now that Cain is gone I guess someone had to get nuts. • 資料來源:http://americandropout.com/
